Blog 10: English Language Challenges

Imagen
Hi everyone!!(ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥ Well, this is the last blog! Tomorrow are the last tests and then we have a well-deserved vacation ᕙ (` ▿ ') ᕗ today I will tell you a little bit about my experience learning English. This is my first experience having English in the university since when I entered, in the diagnostic test I was in English IV, so I went ahead with the rest of the courses. At first, I was nervous about having English at the university I imagined difficult things, but in the end, it turned out not to be as I expected, the classes were fun and easy to understand so I really enjoyed this course. My only problem with English is everything related to speaking it, I always forget how to pronounce some words and also where I get nervous about speaking (Maybe part of my nervousness about speaking has nothing to do with English, but something personal), I tend to forget words, but I think a lot of this would be solved by practicing more. Maybe I could make phone calls with my fr...

Blog 9: Changes to My Study Program

Imagen
Hi everyone! ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ What a perfect opportunity to vent about the study programs and structures of the faculty (In my case I will refer to the arts faculty located on the Juan Gómez Millas Campus). About the visual arts study program, it was recently changed and last year the new program began to be implemented. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's much use evaluating it, as the classes last year were online, and the content of this program had to be adapted to that modality. (2020 study program) (Old study program) I will talk about what I would change about the online classes, although the contents were adapted, there were some problems, not related to the program but to certain professors who did not comply with the flexibility agreements, the academic load was too much for some students, it would be ideal to solve this for the coming years. I come from the faculty's basic stage program, so I know headquarters in person, and I think the real problem here is its infra...

Blog 8: Personal Opinions

Imagen
Hi everyone! (>‿◠)✌ Today I will express my opinion on an issue that can be sensitive depending on where you look. The social media and technology, there are people who prefer not to have social networks because in a way they can create a dependency on these, in my opinion I think this is subjective to every person since this dependence is created by something profound, something that has nothing to do with technology but with our psychological state because of course there are people who have a healthy relationship with their social media.  But there are other people who really need social media because they bring us, albeit momentarily, stability and emotions we need and I say "we" since I include myself in this group of people, for me social media was somehow a help, a way out of real life. They helped me socialize more with people. A lot of insecurities later grew up in me, but it wasn't as many as the good things I exper...

Blog 7: An Interesting Hobby/ free-time activity you have

Imagen
Hi everyone! 👋≧◉ᴥ◉≦ My favorite free-time activity is reading, I hope you don't think it's a boring pastime or cliché, but I love reading, I read all kinds of genres. from terror, youth romance, fantasy, poetry, biographies, art, esotericism, among others. (My bookshelf) Although I haven't read these genres in a few years now, I'm now hooked on homoerotic books. I read about 29 books a week, although they are not such long books, they are about 190 or 220 pages each, sometimes they are less. My favorite writers of this genre are Stormy Gleen, Joyee Flynn, Lynn Hagen, Shea Balik, Marcy Jacks, Olivia Black, among others. I entered this genre reading adaptations of certain books with couples from some musical bands, now it's been so long that I don't remember exactly what book was the first one I read adapted, but if I remember some of the books that came after I already settled down reading this genre, like Alessandra Hazard's "Straight Guys" se...

Blog 6: Post Graduate Studies

Imagen
Hello everyone! ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ Well, as you can see from the title, today I'll tell you about my post graduate studies after the visual arts career. As I said yesterday, I would like to be an art teacher, so I plan after finishing my studies in visual arts, studying to have pedagogy, to do this my plan is to apply for the teacher vocation scholarship in my third year and thus have some help to be able to study pedagogy. I once had a dream where I would go back to my old school and become a teacher there, maybe that dream will come true once I get the pedagogy. After some time of being a teacher and having some money saved, I plan to travel and study more. I would like to travel, and study new things related to art, maybe go to France, London, Spain or other places, I want to always be learning new things and then passing that knowledge on to my students. If I have the chance, I'd like to get a master’s degree in sexology. I've always thought about this, it could help people d...

Blog 5: My Future Job

Imagen
Hi everyone! Well, I'm just entering my second year of college, I study visual arts so maybe it's a little obvious what I'll be in the not-so-distant future. What could be my future work is divided into two possible paths, on the one hand, I would like to be an art teacher, maybe teacher at some college or high school, I'd like to inspire my students to want to make art and to be able to guide them on the path of art. And on the other hand, I would just like to dedicate myself to being a good painter, to get my works to the museums, to make art talks. I would also like to go back to the past and reflect on what my dream jobs were back then. My first dream job was to be a florist. I wanted to have a flower shop and make beautiful floral arrangements because I loved flowers. Then with the entry of anime in my life, I wanted to work as a manga artist and create horror stories, as well as those of Junji Ito. Maybe my earlier words are not relevant to the future of m...

Blog 4: Favorite movie / anime

Imagen
Hello everyone! Well, today I'll tell you a little bit about one of my favorite movies, it was hard to pick one as there are many that I enjoy watching over and over again. The film I'll show you is Kamisama no Iu Toori (As the God's Will) Japanese film released in 2014. the main character Takahata Shun thinks his life is too boring and monotonous, but everything changes one day when his teacher's head explodes and a Daruma doll emerges from his body. Starting a series of games that Takahata Shun and another group of students must survive. It's a very interesting supernatural horror movie, my favorite part is when surviving students should dress up as mice and defeat a giant cat 😊   I better not give more spoilers and I leave it to your judgement if it catches your eye after watching the trailer. I would also like to share with you my favorite anime, Osomatsu-san (2015) This anime is about the lives of the 6 Matsuno brothers, how they survive the day to day ...
